چکیده: 

Fostering critical thinking among senior high school students in Colombia has been an unfulfilled goal. This undesirable situation has multiple causes: “critical thinking” has become a mere slogan and its meaning and scope have not been clearly specified despite being widely used in the different levels of the education system. Furthermore, the strategies designed to teach critical thinking lack creativity, reinforce rote learning and the sheer repetition of logic rules besides misallocating the goal of reasoning and argumentation by focusing only on rhetorical persuasion. Textbooks and core literature in critical thinking suggest that a critical thinker is someone who always has plenty of arguments to defend her beliefs besides being ready to address even destructive criticism. By contrast, critical rationalism emphasizes the importance of a humble approach, acknowledges error, and portrays a critical thinker as someone who is ready to test her most beloved theories against experience and to reject them in the light of the facts that contradict her beliefs and certainties. We consider that a pedagogical approach enriched with fallibilism might be central for a better education and endorse these views with the results of a case study conducted in Manizales, Colombia, which shows that teaching the basics of logic and argumentation by using the central tenets of critical rationalism fosters critical thinking among senior high school students

The city's regeneration is one of the strategies that lead to urban deterioration and inefficient textures towards revitalization. Using systems thinking on the subject of reinvention can lead to the identification of complex systems that are considered effective in producing and reproducing worn-out textures. In this regard, this study was to benefit from a systemic approach in identifying the the roots of the production and reproduction of historical/worn-out textures in Semnan city. The leading research is among the applied research, and in terms of information and data analysis, it uses the descriptive-analytical method. The tool for collecting information is also in documents and surveys. The statistical population of the research was 18 university professors, experts, and officials familiar with the urban fabric of Semnan, who were selected by the snowball method. In the end, using experts' opinions, 24 variables were selected as effective drivers of Semnan's production-reproduction system of worn tissue. MicMac software was used for structural-interpretive analysis of variables. The results show that the rules and regulations governing the regeneration of the studied area are the most important and effective factors. Also, the special ownership conditions governing barren, ruined, and ruined lands have caused the private sector to have no incentive to invest in this area and reproduce the existing conditions. With the continuation of the current process, the existing situation is reproduced. Breaking this round of the reproduction process requires a constructive look at the target neighborhoods from the city administration and government agencies, which can provide the basis for the presence of private sector investors in these neighborhoods

Critical thinking is a fundamental cognitive skill that significantly influences our thought processes. Without it, reaching impartial and accurate conclusions becomes challenging. This skill holds profound importance in educational settings. The focus of the present study was to examine how teaching critical thinking skills enhances the critical thinking and reading comprehension abilities of Iranian English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. A group of 40 in-service EFL teachers from Farhangian University in Iran underwent pretests on reading comprehension and critical thinking. Critical thinking interventions were systematically integrated into the course curriculum at 4-week intervals. Following the instructional period, posttests were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the critical thinking intervention program. Results indicated a notable improvement in both the knowledge and attitudes towards critical thinking. Moreover, the program positively impacted the students' reading comprehension levels, particularly their ability to critically approach reading comprehension tests. This highlights the significance of creating an environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts without the fear of judgment. Educators play a crucial role in fostering optimal critical thinking behaviors and attitudes through effective modeling. Promoting a culture of open expression and critical thinking is key to nurturing well-rounded learners.

مقدمه: پرورش قدرت تفکر یکی از اهداف اصلی آموزش محسوب می شود. تفکر در مورد تفکر در راستای بهبود فرایند فکر، در قلب تفکر انتقادی جای دارد. هدف از این پژوهش، بیان و بررسی تعاریف متعدد و مختلف از تفکر انتقادی است.روش ها: این پژوهش یک مطالعه مروری بر برخی مقالات منتشر شده در زمینه تفکر انتقادی از سال های 1990 تا 2007 است.نتایج: صاحب نظران گوناگون از اصطلاحات متفاوتی برای تشریح کار کرد و فعالیت های تفکر انتقادی بهره جسته اند. در حالی که تعاریف ارائه شده به شناسایی ابعاد مختلف مفهوم تفکر و اندیشه انتقادی پرداخته اند، خط سیر مربوط به تفکر انتقادی مشخص و واضح است، یعنی ارزیابی و تجزیه و تحلیل کردن محتوای یک موضوع در دست بررسی به منظور فهم محتوای آن که از طریق یک فرایند بازنگری دقیق و نیرومند انجام می گیرد.نتیجه گیری: تفکر انتقادی یک نوع تفکر هدف مند، منطقی و تعمق آمیز است که برای تصمیم گیری، حل مسائل و تسلط بر مفاهیم صورت می پذیرد.

Introduction & objectives: Recently, educational psychologists and other scholars question the validity of defining learning mainly as the transfer of information from teacher to the learner. Instead, they emphasized the role of teachers in developing intellectual skills in the learners. The article is an attempt to review studies about critical thinking and to explain the concept of critical thinking, its components, its instruction and its importance in nursing. There are many definitions about critical thinking. Some prominent critical thinking theorists include faction, Watson and Glaser, MC peck and so on.A critical thinker must have certain abilities and characteristics in order to develop critical thinking, teachers can use case studies, brainstorming in writing, question-raising methods for their students. There are a lot of reasons to use critical thinking in health care systems. One of them is the ever increasing amount of data in this field. Critical thinking is one of the crucial skills that is required for the development of nursing education and practice. However, the application of this concept brought about a kind of confusion which emerges when this term is substituted with one of its components such as problem- solving.This study, nine articles and three books were examined.As it is the time of information explosion and scholars need to have access to a great deal of information in a limited period of time, it is a matter of greet urgency to develop intellectual skills such as how to think scientifically.The great revolutions in science and technology have also affected the health care systems including nursing profession. To cope with such changes, the scholars must equip themselves with the essential knowledge as skills, among which critical thinking skills are of great importance.

Aims: This letter highlights the importance of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) education as a means to develop critical thinking and creativity among students. Methods: A narrative review of global PBL applications in OHS education and analysis of challenges in Iran’s educational system. Findings: Traditional teaching methods inadequately prepare students for complex OHS challenges. PBL promotes active learning, problem-solving, and creativity, as demonstrated by successful implementations in universities such as Maastricht and McMaster. Barriers in Iran include faculty unfamiliarity, rigid curricula, and assessment systems focused on memorization. Conclusion: Adoption of PBL, supported by faculty training, curriculum reform, modern technologies, and university-industry collaboration, is essential to cultivate competent OHS professionals in Iran.

قضیة العجمة والکلمات الوافدة إلی العربیة قد شغلت أذهان اللّغویین العرب منذ القدم، ولکلّ منهم موقفه الخاصّ تجاه هذه القضیة. فأبوالعلاء المعرّی باعتباره أحد أهمّ العلماء الملمّین باللّغة والمالکین بزمامها، أبدی اهتماماً بهذه القضیة وله مساهمات نشطة فی هذا الصّدد.فهذا البحث باتّخاذ الموقف النقدی- التحلیلی (معتمداً علی المنهج الصرفی) یحاول أن یحدّد البصمات الأساسیة لموقف أبی العلاء من العجمة والوافد فی اللّغة العربیة فی آثاره الشهیرة، فبدا لنا من خلال البحث والاستنتاج أنّ أبا العلاء فی بحثه عن "الأصیل والدخیل" کان ینطلق من المقابلة بین الأعجمی والعربی ویعالج الفارسیة باعتباره أکثر الألسنة تأثیراً فی اللّغة العربیة. وهو یبدی معرفة أصیلة بهذه اللّغة فیقوم بذکر أصل المعرّب فی لغته ویعالج ما یطرأ علی أصوات اللّفظة فی لغتها الأمّ من تغییر عند تعریبها. إنّ عدم الإلمام بالأصل العربی لبعض المداخل مسألة کانت لها بصماتها فی المعالجة المعجمیة العلائیة وقد یتأتّی ذلک فی مظهرین أوّلهما تقریری بالسّلب بنفی الأصل العربی وثانیهما تبریری بالإثبات بإقرار الإستعمال من جانب القُدامی، ولتجنّب هذه المشکلة یعتمد علی المعطیات الصّرفیة ویتّخذ من الوزن وحروف الزیادة مقیاساً به یحکم للمادّة أو علیها بالإنتماء، وهو یتعامل مع مسألة الدالّ والمدلول علی أساس منطقی ویعید کلّ دالّ إلی معناه اللغوی الذی أفاده فی أصل وضعه.

IT IS BECAUSE THE USE OF VERBS, IDIOMS, AND IRONIES HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN SANAI'S WORDS. IN THIS SOME OF THE WORDS AND COMPOSITIONS SUCH AS: 'BETEKHI; BARESTADAN SARNAK; ETC', ARE CLOSELY EXAMINE .THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY REVEALED THAT THESE WORDS AND COMPOSITIONS ARE SIGNIFICANT FROM DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF LEXICAL CONSTRUCTION, DEVELOPMENTAL MEANING, AND VARIOUS APPLICATIONS.
